First SNG on the Blog! $12 (turbo) 9 Players. Bad Beat!

Selective and Aggressive. We’ve all heard Gus Hansen use this rather open expression on how to play the game on late night T.V adverts, normally after they explain the ranking of hands for the 978th time. Well, that’s how I played it. Early on I got 99 4th off the BB (as seen in the pic) only to get reraised all-in by the SB. A smart fold followed, but what do people suspect my opponent was holding?? I won a hand 12 in, limped with Td9d with a limper in front, flop produced JT3, and my second fire eventually won the pot (500). Eventually won a big pot just when I needed to and the blinds were really getting scary. Held 76 off in the BB, and Mr chip leader in the SB didn’t believe I had made a straight more impressive than the one laying on the table. 2670 and going ok. Big pot 4 handed. Had Kd9d, defended my BB against the small who had an obsessive betting disorder. He raised to 1200, 800 more to me. I make the call. Flop comes down 2 diamonds A high. He goes all in. I eventually folded. The right play? Truthfully, I think so. Definitely could have had the A, from the hands I’d shown, I’d normally been playing with a hand not to be messed around with. So without the right odds, I folded against my will. Came 3rd overall. Went out to a Bad Beat (lol). Getting low, called another All-in from Mr Man, He popped over K6, I slam down my A6, and 4 clubs fall to offer him a flush, which he accepts and rakes all my hard earned chips. It Sucks, but that's why it's called a "Suck Out".

What Is This Place!?

Well, this is my journey from the poker oblivion to being a real success (erm, hopefully!). I'm going to be talking about big hands I played, with thorough analysis of the hand, including the mistakes I made, and where I picked up or missed information my opponent was "trying" to give me. I will also be discussing the "real" money makers in the poker world, including player information, as well as the real earners (Online Poker Softwares and Card Rooms), with reviews as often as possible. This really will be the only place for poker players aiming to improve their game, and information on where the big time starts. If you want to watch me in action, I will be regularly playing on Full Tilt (PerfectionD), as well as other software in order to give you guys the full low-down on the best ways of making money playing Poker.
